Off-Grid Living With Bluetti AC200

Off-Grid Living With Bluetti AC200 – Today, I want to talk about a silent generator who would have thought you could actually have a silent completely, silent 2000 watt generator. Well, I’ve got one and we’re going to review it stay tuned.

Off-Grid Living With Bluetti AC200, SILENT Portable Power?

First of all, we’re completely off-grid here. We are in the upper peninsula of Michigan, complete wilderness. We’re miles and miles away from any kind of power grid that’s what makes this so valuable to me.

Now, first off, I have a cooler here that is being charged completely powered without ice by this Bluetti generator now. This thing is 2000 watts doesn’t make a sound, it has lots of plug-ins for all kinds of different applications. So, this is what it looks like right now. I’ve got a couple of USBs plugged in, I’m charging some phones, I also have my generator plugged into the DC port, and you can see, my cooler is being kept at a nice 26 degrees.

Right now, you can charge it either by a cord, or you can also charge this thing with solar, which is really interesting to me. Because on a sunny day, you can charge your generator and still continue to get that quiet power. That is really what I’m after, it’s got lots of AC plugs here, I mean you could plug in a lot of different things at the same time.

The USBs got lots of information for you to look at simply with the touch of a button. Now, I’m pretty new to this. I don’t know what a lot of this means, I’m learning as I go with all the solar, and the electronic aspect of these power generators. But, so far I’m just completely impressed with this. One of my biggest complaints is noise, when I come camping, when I go to the wilderness, or go off-grid. I don’t want to hear the noise.

The Bluetti AC200P portable solar generator is launching in Late 2020! As one of the biggest names in the portable, solar generator space, Bluetti appears to have done it again with one of the most anticipated solar generators of this year!

I don’t want to hear a generator, I don’t want to hear cars, I don’t want to hear anything. I just want to hear the wind in the trees, I want to hear the birds, I want to hear nature. So, this has been the perfect marriage of keeping things quiet, but keeping things powered, especially off-grid.

Setting Up Solar Panel

Now, this thing does weigh a fair amount, it’s heavy, just like a regular generator would be. So, I bought this little kind of luggage rack to go with it, and that’s how I transport it around. Now, what I’m going to do now is set up the solar, and I want to show you how it charges with solar. These are the solar panels that you can also purchase to go with your generator, and they’re pretty convenient because they open up and fold.

But they carry like a little like a briefcase which are really super handy. You just pop them open, and you can either hang these or set them up on the ground which is what I’m gonna do on the back. There are these little velcro stands that’s what’s to let the solar panel stand up on the ground, the components, the wiring for hooking up the panel to the generator are right here, in this pouch.

These are 100 watts panels. I just hooked up one solar panel right here to a cord, which goes to another cord, and this plugs right into the solar spot, just line up the red dot, and plug it in. They provided a cord to hook up one solar panel. This generator has the capacity to take an input of 700 watts of solar. You can daisy chain lots of different solar panels together to get the best charge.

The other option for charging this is simply a home wall plug where you just plug it into AC. You also have cords that are included for charging from your car cigarette lighter. The other cool thing, they’ve included is is jumper cables for your car to charge your car battery.

The panel here has lots of information and settings where you can check all kinds of data, whether you’re turning the AC on or off. You can get all the information about how much power is coming from what input or output. So it is a really interesting system where you can see all of the data. Now, you can see that because it’s a cloudy day. I’m not getting any input here from the solar.

 Conclusion

Overall, I’ve been extremely happy with this setup. My favorite feature is that it’s quiet and that you can charge it with solar. That’s so good for smaller off-grid applications, RV van life, cabin life, tent life. This is all really great for taking portable power with you to take care of everything you need to off-grid.

Go check it out, I’ll put a link below this is the bluetti ac200 2000 watt off-grid generator totally silent.  My favorite part, this will be the site of our future cabin, our off-grid cabin here, and the generator is going to come in so handy for both the building project and just being here off-grid.
