Overcoming Power Outages with Solar – I’d like to take a few moments to tell you about a situation that happened to me earlier this week. Right as I was about to start the work day, a blackout hit and left our office without power for nearly six hours. While we’re all used to summer power outages by now, they’re still frustrating and cause major disruptions to our daily routines.

As you can imagine, my job involves staying connected to customers and other members of the Shop Solar Kits Team through emails, text messages, and phone calls. Without power, I’m left completely isolated and my workday practically grinds to a halt!

Fortunately, we were able to stay connected and keep the business running simply by plugging computers, smartphones, printers, and even a coffee machine into one of the Emergency Backup Solar Kits we run in our office. While the blackout was still annoying, this basic solar power system ensured that it was nothing more than a minor inconvenience.
