Sol-Ark 15K for whole-house backup
This inverter been working flawlessly along with the EG4 Lifepower4 battery rack for over a month now, and I typically run the house on battery for 8 hours a day (from 4pm to 12am), as I have been testing out the “Time-of-Use” features on the Sol-Ark for automatic switch over to make the move to time-of-use rate plans. The software in this inverter is amazing, and very flexible. It flips over from grid to battery and back again with no noticeable change at all, and if you lose grid power, the failover time is almost instant (around 4ms) with just a slight flicker of the lights. It will run my 1600 Sq. Ft. home with a 200A main service for around 30 to 40 hours before the battery bank gets to 20% SOC, and my house is fully electric except for the heater. Currently I only have it for battery backup, but will be expanding to install solar soon, the entire install was a DIY project for me and it was easy to pull off with ShopSolarKits help.
